Argentina, 1985 is a feature inspired by the true story of Julio Strassera, Luis Moreno Ocampo and their young legal team of unlikely heroes in their David-vs-Goliath battle in which, under constant threat, they dared to prosecute Argentina’s bloodiest military dictatorship against all odds and in a race against time to bring justice to the victims of the junta.

Featuring a star-studded cast led by Ricardo Darín (The Secret in Their Eyes, Wild Tales) as Julio Strassera and Peter Lanzani (The Clan, El Ángel) as Luis Moreno Ocampo, the film is directed by Santiago Mitre (Paulina, The Summit) and written by Mitre and Mariano Llinás (La Flor, Extraordinary Stories).

Filmed on the real locations where the action took place, Argentina, 1985 will have a theatrical release in its home country before being available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Argentina, 1985 producers are Axel Kuschevatzky, Federico Posternak, Agustina Llambi Campbell, Ricardo Darín, Santiago Mitre, Santiago Carabante, Chino Darín and Victoria Alonso. The executive producers are Cindy Teperman and Phin Glynn. The film, produced by Amazon Studios, La Unión de los Ríos, Kenya Films and Infinity Hill, is also the first-ever Argentinean Amazon Original film.
